The “Not So” Newlywed Game Show
Remember The Newlywed Game® show that debuted in 1966 on TV. You’ve got to! Bob Eubanks was the host! It was an American TV game show that pitted newly married couples against each other in a series of revealing question rounds to determine how well each spouse knew the another. The show became famous for some of the arguments between couples that occurred over incorrect answers, which even led to some divorces. Can you believe that? In fact, in 2013, TV Guide magazine ranked it No.10 in its list of the 60 greatest game shows ever.
Well, guess what? It’s back! Well, sort of! While it’s no longer on the air, other than occasional reruns, Doug took the original concept – with one exception — and created a new concept for one of his game shows. Instead of having newlyweds, he has contestants that are anything but newlyweds. That why he calls it, The “Not So” Newlywed Game Show. Head up: Doug’s questions can be on the outrageous side!
