Just as the name implies, contestants attempt to identify – depending up on how the game is designed — either the title or artist of the song being played. If they think they know, contestants can individually signal with their buzzers. Whoever buzzes in first, gets the chance to answer. If correct, points are awarded; if wrong, points are deducted.
There are numerous ways to play Name That Tune – either with up to 12 individual contestants, or 12 teams.
If by individual contestants, several games might be played. Then, those who are claimed the winner of each round, proceed forward to a final round – with one being crowned the champion!
If by teams, the most common method of play is with teams made up by tables, with one buzzer per table. There might be several rounds of games with different genres. Then, instead of one person being crowned, it’s the entire team.
