Your privacy is my first concern. I do not sell, rent, or trade your information to any other company or entity for marketing purposes, and I never will. This policy explains what information The Game Show Entertainer (“I,” “me,” “my,” or “the Company”) collects through thegameshowentertainer.com (the “Site”) and in the course of booking and performing game show events, how that information is used, and the choices you have.

1. Who I Am
The Game Show Entertainer is an interactive game show entertainment business owned and operated by Doug Shannon, based in Pompano Beach, Florida, serving Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties and available nationwide.

2. Information I Collect
2.1 Information you give me directly
When you submit the Get-A-Quote form, use a contact form, email me, or call me, you may provide:

Your first and last name
Your company, community, or organization name and your title
Your email address
Your cell phone number and business phone number
Your event date, event type, event location name, and event address
The type of game show(s) requested, start and end times, approximate number of attendees, and approximate age range of attendees
Whether the venue supplies a sound system, screen, and projector
Any comments, questions, or other details you choose to include
If you sign up for my email list, I collect your email address and any name you provide.

I collect this information because I need it to prepare an accurate quote, confirm availability, plan the show, and arrive at the right place at the right time. Fields marked as required on a form are required for that purpose; everything else is optional.

2.2 Payment information
I accept payment by PayPal and by other methods arranged directly with you. I do not collect, process, or store your credit card, debit card, or bank account numbers. When you pay through PayPal, your payment details go directly to PayPal and are handled under PayPal’s own privacy policy. I receive only confirmation that a payment was made and the associated name, email, and amount.

2.3 Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this Site and its hosting provider may automatically collect standard technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This information is used for security, spam prevention, troubleshooting, and understanding general traffic patterns.

2.4 Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses cookies — small text files stored by your browser. These may include:

Essential cookies that make the Site function, keep it secure, and remember form entries
Performance and caching cookies used by site speed and security tools
Analytics cookies that help me see how many people visit and which pages are popular, in aggregate. If you would like to know which analytics provider is currently in use, email me and I will tell you.
Third-party cookies set by embedded content such as social media follow buttons, share icons, and embedded video players
You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Essential cookies cannot be turned off without affecting how the Site works. Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” signal; because there is still no common industry standard for responding to it, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

2.5 Embedded content from other websites
Pages on this Site may include embedded content such as videos, sliders, galleries, social media feeds, and follow or share buttons. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that other website, and those websites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content. I do not control those practices.

2.6 Photographs and video at events
Game shows are lively, visual events, and photos or video may be taken at an event — by me, by the host organization, or by guests. Where I take or receive photos or video, I may use them to promote my services on my website, social media, and other marketing materials. If you or your organization do not want images from your event used this way, tell me in writing before the event and I will honor that request. Where an event includes participants under 18, I use images only with the permission of the organization or parent responsible for those participants. If you find an image of yourself already posted and want it removed, email me and I will remove it.

2.7 Children’s privacy
This Site is intended for adults booking entertainment and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. Some events I host include younger participants; in those cases, any information about attendees comes from the organization that booked the event, not from the children themselves. If you believe a child has provided me personal information, email me and I will delete it.

3. How I Use Your Information
I use the information described above to:

Respond to quote requests, questions, and phone or email inquiries
Prepare proposals, agreements, and invoices
Plan, customize, and perform your event, including tailoring show content to your audience
Communicate with you and your venue about scheduling, logistics, and equipment
Process payments and keep business and tax records
Send my email newsletter and occasional updates, if you have subscribed
Follow up after an event and request feedback or a testimonial
Maintain the security of the Site, prevent spam and fraud, and comply with the law
I do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. What I Never Do
I never sell your information. Not to marketers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
I never trade or rent your information.
I never share your contact information with other entertainers, vendors, or businesses for their own marketing purposes. The only exception is at your request — for example, if you ask me for a referral, or if I need to help you find a replacement performer.
I never add you to my email list without your consent. Requesting a quote does not subscribe you to anything.

5. When Information Is Shared
The commitments in Section 4 are subject only to the limited situations below. I share information only:

Service providers. Companies that help me run the business — website hosting, form and email delivery, email marketing (Mailchimp), payment processing (PayPal), spam filtering, and security services — process information on my behalf and only as needed to provide their service.
Your venue or host. If your event requires coordinating with a venue, activities director, or A/V contact, I share only what is needed to set up and run the show.
With your permission. For example, if you agree to be quoted in a testimonial or referral.
Legal requirements. If required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where necessary to protect my legal rights, safety, or the safety of others.
Business transfer. If the business is sold or transferred, client records may be transferred as part of that transaction; the same commitments in this policy would continue to apply.

6. Email and Text Messages
If you subscribe to my email list, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email or by emailing me. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop me from responding to your inquiries or communicating about a booked event.

If you provide a cell phone number when requesting a quote or booking an event, I may call or text you about that request or that event. These are not marketing blasts — message frequency depends on what your event needs. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. You can reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help, and you may ask me at any time to stop calling or texting. I do not send promotional text messages without your separate, express written consent.

7. How Long I Keep Information
Quote requests that do not become bookings: kept for up to three years, so I can follow up if you inquire again.
Client and event records, contracts, and invoices: kept as long as needed for business, accounting, insurance, and tax purposes — generally at least seven years.
Email list subscribers: kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.
Website analytics and server logs: kept for the retention period set by the relevant provider, generally no more than 26 months.
You can ask me to delete your information sooner, and I will do so unless I am required to keep it for legal, tax, or accounting reasons.

8. How I Protect Your Information
The Site uses SSL encryption (https), a security and firewall plugin, spam filtering, and protected login access. Business records are kept on password-protected devices and accounts. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security, but I take these safeguards seriously and review them periodically.

9. Your Choices and Rights
Regardless of where you live, you may:

Ask what information I have about you. Email me and I will tell you.
Ask me to correct it if it is wrong or out of date.
Ask me to delete it, subject to records I am required to keep.
Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time.
Ask me not to use event photos or video that include you.
I will respond to requests within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires it. I will never charge you for making a request or treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Florida and other U.S. residents. Some states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others, give residents specific rights regarding personal information, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. I extend the rights listed above to all visitors regardless of state. Because I do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no sale to opt out of.

Visitors from outside the United States. This is a United States business serving primarily United States clients, and all information is stored and processed in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and contact me, my reasons for processing your information are: performing our agreement (planning and performing your event), your consent (email marketing, which you may withdraw at any time), and my legitimate interests (responding to inquiries, securing the Site, and keeping business records). You may ask me to access, correct, delete, or restrict that information, or object to its use, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because the Site does not currently use a cookie consent banner, you should use your browser settings to control non-essential cookies before browsing.

10. Website Accessibility
I want this Site to be usable by everyone, including guests and planners who use screen readers or other assistive technology. 11. Links to Other Sites
The Site may link to venues, partners, associations, or other third-party websites. I am not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Please review their policies before providing them with information.

12. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, I will post the revised version here and update the “Last Updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be noted clearly. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
