Being unique and different is what characterizes Jukebox Memories, and places it in a category by itself! – it starts with fusing storytelling with music.

Mind you, anyone can play music, but not just anyone can program great music that is audience specific. Likewise, anyone can compile information about a song, but not just anyone can creatively tell snippets of the stories behind the music in a dynamic, interactive and entertaining style.

When done effectively, the music and storytelling combine to bring back old memories and creates new ones that elicit happiness. It’s an art that Doug spent an entire career developing, from that of being a radio disc jockey and program director to that of a club DJ and professor.

While integrating storytelling with music is the foundation of Jukebox Memories, the show doesn’t stop there!

Using a multi-faceted approach, and with the intent of taking the experience of Jukebox Memories to another level, Doug then creatively intertwines playing name that tune and artist, or name that movie or TV theme, or naming the characters associated with a particular show coupled with trivia questions.

To take this even further, Doug accelerates audience participation with occasional sing-a-longs and chant-a-longs.

Because people are having so much fun, it’s not unusual to see them clap, dance or even chair dance, all with interest, happiness and excitement.
